Next Event January 17, 2025 at the South Coastal Library

“Use it Up, Wear It Out, Make it Do or Do Without”

While it’s called “downsizing,” we prefer to think of it as rightsizing. Decluttering your life can have an effect on our mental wellbeing and consuming less reduces our carbon footprint. Do we really need all this stuff? Maybe you don’t, and maybe someone else does. Perhaps its destiny lies in a different form after it has been recycled.  Perhaps a neighbor in need has a creative use for it. Before you throw it out, let’s do what we can to keep those things out of the landfill and have a look at our list of downsizing resources from our friends at Clearinghouse for Clearing Houses.

If you are looking to shift your mindset and start a more decluttered life, below is a wealth of resources from books on the topic to help you prepare, to information about local places that take donations and things for recycling, to compassionate companies that will handle everything for you if it’s all too much. Experience the “Magic of Tidying Up,” and send those items onto their next life.
