Welcome to our November Newsletter! Our volunteers and donors worked incredibly hard to make last month one of our best totals of the year. Our kitchen received $7,845 worth of pantry items, dry goods and supplies, which we supplemented with our own donations, fresh produce and proteins, totaling a truly amazing $15,122 worth of donations, delivering an outstanding 2,394 wholesome, filling, and nutritious ready-to-eat meals to our neighbors in need. Thank you all for your continued support, these meals are needed now more than ever.

With Halloween behind us and the leaves changing rapidly, many of us may be dreaming about the holidays ahead, planning get-togethers with loved ones and musing over our menus. But for many families in Sussex County, this holiday season is going to be different.

The TAPTF Society is working every day to help feed families, including seniors and children, who are already doing everything they can to stay afloat. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, the largest food support program in our country feeding 41 million Americans every day, continues to face funding challenges. And when assistance programs and funding fails, non-profits like ours, as well as local food pantries, do our best to fill the gap left behind.

As a hyper-locally focused non-profit, you can feel assured that every dollar you donate to the TAPTF Society goes directly to creating nutritious and delicious meals for neighbors in need in your community. Our mission is to rescue food that would be wasted, cook meals with love, and deliver them to anyone who needs support right now, not once the resources catch up.

Thank you to all of our donors and volunteers who support our belief that hunger is not a political stance and everyone deserves a plate at our table.

Thanks VegRehoboth!

Big thanks to VegRehoboth for hosting another fun & informative event! VegFallFest was this past week and we learned so much from the talks & guests while enjoying vegetarian & vegan cuisine from local bakeries, farms and chefs. We always look forward to VegRehoboth’s events, check their Upcoming Events page on their website and we hope to see you at the next one!
