A very warm welcome to the TAPTF Society’s January Newsletter! With the New Year comes a fresh beginning, a chance to reset, refocus, and recommit to what truly matters. As we turn the page on the 2025, many of us are looking for meaningful ways to start the year with purpose. And there’s no better way to begin than by doing good together, lifting neighbors, nourishing hope, and turning small acts of kindness into real change for those who need it most. But before we turn to the future, let’s take a look at everything we accomplished in the previous year. Meals Delivered |

As you can see from our handy chart, our volunteers and donors enabled us to deliver a truly incredible 40,735 meals in 2025 beating our 2024 total by over 5,000 meal deliveries. When we started in 2020, we could not have imaginedthe progress we would make in 5 years. And we could not have achieved it without the help of our volunteers and donors, like you. Journeys begin with a single step and small acts of kindness really do add up, and they create ripples of real and meaningful change. The community we have built and served out of our humble kitchen is direct evidence of that, it is undeniable!
We hope that you will join us in celebrating our achievements in the last year and resolving to make small changes in your own corner of the world because your help matters.

Our friend Julie has two events coming up to help you enter the New Year with a clean slate. The first event is January 9th, this Friday, at the Laurel Public Library where Julie will lead a discussion on how to take those first steps toward downsizing your clutter and organizing your home safely and efficiently. Registration is strongly encouraged and you can reserve your spot by visiting the library’s website HERE.

| Thanks VegRehoboth!! Our friends at VegRehoboth hosted some incredible events this year and we are so thankful to them for their continued partnership and their dedication. If you are considering reducing or eliminating your consumption of animal products, they have the support, the information, and the community to help you succeed! Your health deserves it and your planet deserves it! Prioritize the important things this year and learn all about the many benefits of going meat-free. Visit VegRehoboth.org for more information Read about VegRehoboth’s many events this year in the Cape Gazette We Need You! Choosing to volunteer in 2026 is a powerful way to start the New Year with intention and purpose. The United Nations has officially proclaimed 2026 as International Volunteer Year or IVY 2026, a global movement aimed at igniting community spirit and recognizing volunteerism as a key element for more sustainable planet. By committing to a cause now, you would join millions worldwide in a historic effort to strengthen social fabrics and foster collective resilience together. Starting your volunteer journey can be remarkably easy, with most roles requiring no special skills beyond compassion and a positive attitude. At the TAPTF Society, volunteering comes along with new skill building as well. Want to learn more about gardening? Join one of our community garden initiatives. Want to learn more about nutrition or meal prepping on a budget? Oh boy, can we help you there! Our kitchen can always use an extra hand. Maybe you have time in your day to make a few delivery runs, or donation pick-ups. Maybe you’re a woodworker looking for your next project to stretch your creativity, we can always use a handyman or woman! Whatever you’re looking for, whatever your skill level, your help is needed. Fill your New Year with joy and hope by volunteering in your community! Near, far, wherever you are! Find volunteer opportunities near you with VolunteerMatch or simply reply to this email to be added to the TAPTF Society’s volunteer list. |
